J-10 is PLAAF's new type of third-generation single-seater fighter with multi-purpose, all-weather day/night operation capacity,first test flighted in 1998.By its fly-by-wire(FBW)control system,the use of close-coupled canard layout not only ensures the performance of traditional high-speed but also highlights its low-speed mobility.It can carry the close/mid-range air-to-air missiles, aerial bombs, rockets,air-to-surface missiles and many other weapons. With J-10,Chinese Air Force can replace a current large number of J-7 to make sure the future's air combat effectiveness.
