About the Audi Team Abt-Sportsline DTM 2005
This 2005 German Touring Car Championship (DTM) saw a total of 4 new generation
A4 DTM cars entered by works team Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline, which faced
rivals Opel and Mercedes in a quest for a second consecutive victory. The Audi
car sponsored by Siemens, a German electrical and telecommunications company,
represents the start of an ambitious partnership between the two premium brands.
Piloted by former F1 diver Allan McNish of Scotland, the Siemens Audi finished
in the top 10 of 5 out of 11 races, with McNish placing 10th overall in the
drivers rankings.
