The GAZ-67B was a general purpose
4WD vehicle made by GAZ for the Russian military during WWII. The GAZ-67B was
the Russians' "American Jeep" and "German Kublewagen". Using the American
supplied MB Jeep as a reference, from January 1941, the Russians began
production of an off-road lightweight high land clearing vehicle. The GAZ-67B
was used by all of the Russian Armed Forces in a variety of roles including
command, reconnaissance, and the towing of weapons. Even after the war, it was
used by both Soviet and Warsaw Pact Forces as a means of transport.
