Tamiya (#21062) - Kawasaki KR500 '82 - Finished Model
Riding on the back of the two time 250cc and two time 350cc World Champion Kork
Ballington's riding skills, Kawasaki debuted in the 500cc Road Race Championship
in 1980. He raced on a KR500 works machine which had an aluminum monocoque
frame. It had a 498cc water-cooled square-four engine, and an independent rear
unit suspension.
This is a 1/12 scale finished model of Grand Prix World Champion rider Kork
Ballington's #8 1982 Kawasaki KR500. The
die-cast in the engine adds to the weight of the bike.
AS and ABS resin are used for a strengthening the model.
Packaging features clear window to enable display of the model even while inside
the box. Has top quality pad-printed
markings. Comes in a different 1980's
lime green color than the recent 1/12 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-RR '06 #56 (21066).
