Basic Specifications

Flying around winding roads high speeds, the Yamaha YZF-R1 super sports motorcycle shattered myths about big-size motorcycles.
An abundance of option parts was marketed for this bike to enhance the riding enjoyment.
Among these options, one set was supplied by Taira Racing, represented by former All Japan 500cc Champion, Tadahiko Taira.
Tamiya's latest recreation of this motorcycle is a "full-view" model and features brown-tinted transparent parts for the cowling, offering a fascinating view of the engine beneath.
Precisely designed, chrome-plated parts used for frame and rear arms; realistically recreated Michelin High Sports tires included.
Liquid cooled four cylinder engine attached to frame with tiny screws.
Rear seat cowl can be removed for single seat model; racing stand included.
Original Taira Racing exhaust pipe and rear fender also included in kit.
Various decals for Taira Racing version included.
